Kennedy Center Report

A recent study by the Belfer Center at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government reported that negative reports on US public opinion on Iraq have an 'emboldenment effect' on the insurgency. The report has been seized upon by war-proponents as justification for media censorship.

Overlooked in the report (still subject to peer review prior to publication in the Quarterly Journal of Economics) is the fact that the conclusions rely not only on polling data, but on reports - provided to the authors - by the Bush Administration.

So much for fair and balanced reporting.
